Our Philosophy

The Canadian Institute of Portrait Artists is dedicated to encouraging the practice, appreciation and education of portraiture in Canada. Our purpose is to unite artists, critics and persons interested in art and related subjects for fellowship and mutual support of portraiture and to promote recognition of practicing portrait artists in our community.
